From fuzzy pillows to luscious lipstick, pink is the new neutral. Whether you like it or not, here it comes folks. I happen to be a fan, and feel like the new trend is just what the fashion doctor ordered. Pink is an emotional color too. We think of babies, Easter, Spring, and girly girls but for the trendy fashion conscious, it is the go to shade to inject a bit of warmth.
To be clear, I'm not talking about the dusty rose of the 80's, today's pale pink is, by comparison, lighter, warmer, and more delicate. Just do a search for pink; the new neutral, and you will find all kinds of inspo!
I'm sure Pantone is not pleased; they chose lavender to be the new color of 2018. I just cant get my head wrapped around that one. Don't get me wrong, lavender is pretty, but I don't want it all over my home or wardrobe for that matter. At least not yet...

With all this in mind, I set out to find something pink that I could add to my Spring capsule wardrobe. With ole' man Winter still hanging on with all his mite, and Mother Nature being a little lazy this Spring when it comes to sunshine and warmth, adding some warm pink in my wardrobe seems like the perfect solution to chase away the winter blahs.
Here are a few outfit ideas to get you inspired. I found these awesome comfy pants here and they are on sale now!
The cozy sweater, which trust me is warm and perfect right now can be found here
Trust me, size way up on this one!
Wearing my suede booties from last year since it's still too chill for the ole' sandals and the toes to be peeping out.
Next up, a little blue chambray action paired with the pink pants. Yes, I have sandals here; a girl can dream cant she? I actually really need to go shoe shopping because there are some adorable wedges, mules, and flats going on right now. But as you can see, it's simple and I already have two outfits for one pair of pants. You can find a chambray shirt almost anywhere these days!
Next up, another quick idea using a simple top from J Crew Factory here for the warmer days if they ever get here! You could also substitute a simple white button down. I love how the turquoise accent pieces play off the pink and give the outfit a little more interest.
So there you go! Three outfits, one pair of pants. the possibilities are endless for this one and at this price the cost per wear (CPW) is definitely a spend that wont break the bank! If you are not keen on adding pink using pants, check out this ombre scarf! here
